Visitors today were Amanda Hardwick, Natasha Schroeder and Edward Ramierez - all from the Blind Bath company.  Don Tarrant of the Creston, BC Rotary Club was a visiting Rotarian.  Rotarian John Raine from Iowa was back for the first time this season.
1. Jack Beveridge announced the Empowerment for Life holiday turkey drive.  Donated turkeys are welcome.  Your cash donation qualifies for the Arizona Working Poor Tax Credit of up to $200 for individuals and $400 for couples.
2. Gene Anderson reported on our successful AJ Food Bank pumpkin pie drive.  Club members donated 143 pounds of food.
3. Harvey Clark told how Rotary was represented at the Non-profit Organizations Volunteers Fair held at Superstition Mountain Country Club. Thanks to Harvey, Len LaFlesch and Mike Cowan for being there for the club.

4. Jeannie Anderson showed the brochure from the Save the Children organization with opportunities to donate in a variety of ways for the good of the world's hungry people.
5. Sharon reminded club members to sign up for the club social at Dungans' if you plan to go.  Drinks and appetizers at 6:30, dinner at 7:30.

7. Bill Burrows brought us the News of the Day.
8. Sargeant-at-Arms Aaron McDermid raised dollars "for the children".
9. Jay Jones reminded us that the three AZ Rotary Districts support the Rotary Vocational Fund that provides scholarships for people seeking to better themselves through education. The same AZ tax credits mentioned earlier also apply to this program.
10. Heather Nauman - the recipient of a Rotary scholarship - explained how the scholarship helped her to become a phlebotomist
11. Art Hergatt won the drawing (again!) and $10.  The pot was worth $143 today but Art missed the joker.

Our speaker was Natash Schroeder of the Blind Bath Company.
Their company has a new way to clean blinds involving immersing them in an ultrasonic sound tank to loosen dust and dirt.  They will pick up the blinds at your home, clean them and return them the next day.  The average cost is $25 per blind.  If interested in learning more, contact Natasha at natasha@blindbaths.com.
