Our guests were our speaker of the day Congressman Paul Gosar and his District Director Penney Pew. Other guests who came to hear Gosar's talk were Maryann Erickson, Jean Warren, Gail South, Fareed Baig, Leland Smithson and Jeff Cutler. We also welcomed visiting Rotarian Don Tarrant of the Creston, B.C. Rotary club.

4. Sharon Stinard passed around a sign-up sheet for the dictionary distribution on Thursday, November 6.
5. Bill Burrows brought the news of the day. On this date in 1746, Princeton U. was founded, in 1962, President Kennedy instituted an air an naval blockade of Cuba and in 1971 Bill Burrows gave his first radio address.
There was no 50/50 drawing or Sargeant-at-Arms action today to give our speaker more time for his talk.
Our speaker was Congressman Paul Gosar of Arizona's 4th Congressional District. He was introduced by club member Mike Dungan. Before being elected to his first term in 2010, Gosar owned his own dental practice in Flagstaff, AZ. Paul serves on the Natural Resources Committee and the Oversight and Government Reform Committee of the House of Representatives.
Paul spoke for 15 minutes and then answered questions for another 15 minutes. He believes the Constitution provides the guidance for Americans and Congress. He believes in more individual liberty and less government. He spoke of reforming health care, reining in government spending and "lawlessness" in Washington, D.C. He also made points about Libya, inaction in Congress, sending troops to the border with MX, ISIS, the Ebola scare, and the need to be able to recall Federal judges.
The Congressman believes Pinal County is now, and will be even more in the future, one of the greatest economic engines in AZ. He wants the land swap to go through that will allow Resolution Copper to develop its Superior mine.
Gosar is the oldest of 10 siblings. Six of them are Democrats and three are Republicans. He is married to Maude Gosar and the couple lives in Prescott. They have three children.
