In honor of the Raptors winning the NBA Championship, Len LaFlesch saluted our Canadian members by enhancing their flag!
Kudos to Harvey Clark, champion fundraiser! Our second annual Barleens event will be on March 21, 2020. The cost will be $62 per person, with $25 going to the Rotary Foundation. The entire theater is currently reserved for the club, until two weeks before the event, when any unsold tickets will go back to Barleens. All promotions will be through the district, at no cost to the club. Harvey is working with Dr. Anderson to get the Apache Junction high school band to play at the event, for a donation of $500. It was moved, seconded and approved to put the event on the district calendar. A table for eight can be reserved, at a sponsorship rate of $500.

Rotary Leadership Institute

The next session of the Rotary Leadership Institute is scheduled fort August 24, from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm at the Doubletree Hotel in Flagstaff. RLI is an outstanding opportunity for each club to improve the Rotary knowledge of its key people, who will also be exposed to new ideas of leadership. The exchange of ideas with other experienced Rotarians alone makes the courses worthwhile. The Institute offers a leadership development program in three full day sessions (Parts I, II and III). The courses are designed to provide Rotary knowledge and to develop leadership skills for voluntary organizations. Some examples of course sessions include: Creating Service Projects, Membership Development and Effective Committees to name a few. You can register at
